Advent Party with the Ladies

The Lord gave us a good group, and some careful listeners. Carol spoke after our coffee and cake time, some games, and special music. It was well-received and we are praying especially for the three unsaved ladies to be saved.

Getting Ready for the Ladies Advent Program

We (Vicki, Amber, Donia and I. :))set up Friday night for the next afternoon.

Fine Arts

Dustin and Bradley worked on getting the piano my maternal Grandma gave me when we first came to Germany back in to playing shape. Miss Amber's art class was tons of fun. The kids cut, glued, painted and decorated egg cartons into beautiful Christmas trees.

Last Days in Greenville

The doors got new signs last week. Today Danae had to give her devotional speech, and Dalene, coming back from her first exam, "caught" her on her on her way out the door. One day of exams down, and two more days of hard studying to go!

The week-end in Germany

The old folks' home service was on Thursday. Behind Kevin you can see Carol and Evan. Kings were there as well, and the young children are always a special attraction and means to talk to the old folks. School continues on of course. Danika does English and Reading with Miss Amber. Doreen does most of her classes with her, too. (as does Dustin!)Donia baked cut-out cookies with the kiddies. The first of the season.

Greenville Glimpse: The Lighting Ceremony

On the evening of November 30th the annual carol sing and lighting ceremony took place in Greenville. This happened several hours after news hit the students that school would be let out almost a week early, due to the quickly spreading whooping cough. Thanks to the help of my brother, the kids tickets were changed at almost no cost, and we will have the joy of picking them up, on Sunday, December 9th. 2007! But back to the lighting ceremony. As always, the high note of "O Holy Night" was an "electric" moment on campus, :) You can get a little idea of the beauty of the occasion on the picture of the two girls on front campus.

Fun times with Donia

The kids set up quite a road and track land in the little boys'room. Donia enjoys spending time with them, in this case, she helped them set up and read to them.

Around Home on November 29th

Various moments in time caught by Donia and Doreen...at the lunch table, at the mall where we grocery shop, the sundown on our way home, Doreen enjoying supper and Danika making a puzzle.

The Church Planting Conference

Kevin shared his pictures from the conference with us. They had three full days of messages on counseling in the church, as well as special seminar sessions in the afternoons. It was also an excellent time of fellowship and an opportunity to meet others from various ministries across Germany.

Erik turned 19 on the the 23rd of November!

A few more shots of Erik at his birthday party along with Dalene with Rachell and Jakob, Danae enjoying a good book, and my sister, Karis, with our parents. She and Co. were able to make it down for two days.

Thanksgiving in Greenville

The family got together for a lovely Thanksgiving dinner, an afternoon of reading and games, refreshments in the evening, and a walk under the beautiful moon that night.

Donia's Pictures

Donia was able to get a camera with money she has been saving from birthday gifts and some money she has earned. She got a digital one which she can carry around with her everywhere she goes. We get to enjoy her cute results on almost a daily basis. Here a few from the day after Thanksgiving when we set up our tree.

The Last Two Weeks have Flown By

Dustin was Miss Amber's guest on the the 21st of November. The next day, on Thanksgiving we met for a beautiful Thanksgiving meal at Kevin and Carol's home, along with Kings. It was a delicious meal, and we enjoyed the fellowship as families. We did miss the men who left after dessert around 2:30 p.m. to drive to a church planting conference about 4 hours southeast of us.
