A Backyard Picnic

Since last fall we have been collecting wood and leaves as we cut back trees and bushes in our yard. Derek covered it for the winter, but yesterday the sun beckoned us outside to work on our garden, and Derek got the fire going for us. We quickly decided this would be a fun opportunity for roasting hot dogs, so I scurried to the store to pick some up and added some Brötchen (German rolls), drinks and a few sweets for dessert. The kids all required baths when we got back inside, but a fun time was had by all!
