Things are happening in Niedern: The pictures were taken as the recent hurricane moved into our area (the big winds didn't arrive until Saturday and Sunday). They cut down all the big trees in the center of town and also tore down four houses across from Matthia's home,as well as all the buildings around them and the old gym which was still be using when we first moved to the village here in 1997. (Our area was spared a lot of damage this time, but other parts of Germany were harder it, though thankfully only two people lost their lives.)
