A Display Board for Impact

The new display for impact was finished in time for the German church planting conference Kevin and Carol and several from our church are attending this week-end. Kevin isn't in the picture, but he played a vital role in consulting and also supplying print-outs of various things we wanted to get ready for displaying.

Picture Greeting from the Last Week in Greenville

Sunday church with Grandpa and Grandma Matthia. Devon is still showing the painful results of the very sunny Gold Rush Daze. Danae was fulfilling a photogrophy class assignment on front campus. Dalene caught her on the other end of the camera. :) The next day Danae found out that she passed her sophomore portfolio check. We praise the Lord for that! They missed getting a picture of her Daddy greeting her with a bouquet of roses for that occasion. :) Devon and Donia got to be in the dorms for Opportunity Days and four extra days into Bible Conference. On Friday night everyone attended the Basketball Championship. Enjoying the excitement in a very crowded setting. Dalene was quite sick the last days of school with a fever over 101°F and a bad cough. There were others around suffering with similar symptoms. We thank the Lord for the grace He gave her to finish up. The roses were a greeting from her Daddy and siblings. Grab 'n Go for lunch one day Attending services together A quick lunch date with Donia and Dalene (taking the picture) Smiling in the rain during the second half of Bible Conference Meeting for the last evening service. Dalene and I were talking on the phone right then. We are so spoiled with modern communication options. :) Table games after the evening service with Erik, Laura, Danae, Devon and Dalene

Work Week-end #2

Loading up on Thursday Packed in like Sardines :) The first afternoon was spent getting things moved up to the third story where they were esablished the new living quarters for this trip. This bird was found "glued" to one of the chairs in the repair shop. Finding useable furniture pieces was one project. The workshop also had a big container of rainwater which had dripped through one of many leaks. So, they constructed a shute to move the water down where they could access it for flushing toilets. Relocating some more furniture pieces. The van was full, so Jona and Derek enjoyed a nice little trip on the caboose. :) Drying a carpet they had cut out of a room. Ready for a good night's sleep at the end of Day 1. Getting ready for a new day (without impending room check :)) Full points for Room 328! Breakfast anyone? Grand Central: This is how it looked on the last day. 20 people were there to help! Distributing Orientation Posters in all the stairwells for new workers. "House 2, 5th Floor" It is exciting to see the changes that were accomplished during these days. Jona and Derek had run out of buckets, so they constructed their own containers with old saucers they found at the bottom of old lampshades.
