Friday evening

My brother Kirk is a pilot for Continental, and one of his flights took him down to Ecuador. There he purchased a hammock for our family. When he first gave it to us, I was trying to imagine, where we would be able to hang it, but Bradley thought of the posts at the edge of the steps leading up to our deck from the garden. Sure enough--it was a perfect fit, and Derek was the first to try it out. Wonderful. I am sure that many an hour will be enjoyed in that comfortable, southern-style place of relaxation. The men of our two families, some boys out of Erik's class, and two other men joined for two hours of good soccer on the soccer field of the next village. Bradley finished 15 minutes earlier than the others and had already showered by the time they arrived for the picture. Tonight the little girls are having a slumber party at Miss Amber's and the little boys are spending the night here. Sleep has not arrived here yet, but they are on their beds fixed up in the ping pong room.
