"I only understand 'Bahnhof.'"

Last Monday afternoon, Bradley took a pie to a family which had given us wonderful apples to enjoy. On his way home he came through the town of "Bahnhof." That is one of the first words a person learns when learning German, and it means "train station." Now, if a person doesn't have a clue about something, he says in German: "I only understand 'train station.'" Well, there is actually a village called "train station." In fact, if you put as your destination "Bahnhof" into a German route planner, it will take you to a place with the zip code 39365. Evidently it was the train station between two towns, and then it itself actually became a village by that name. The first sign shows you are coming into the town; the second shows that you are leaving it and tells you the name of the next town and the distance to it. We switched our living room around a bit, and have enjoyed the refreshing change. :) Derek was working on carrying the scaffolding around to the other side.
