John and Maria had come up from Bavaria to see what the Lord has provided. They could have driven around to the south entrance - in the mean time the lock had been broken open - but it would have required them to put on tire chains, so they got in with the help of a ladder instead.
Maria was a good sport - not to imply that John wasn't.
We were expecting the architect to show up around 1 PM, so we decided to try to make the "museum" work as a meeting place.
It was a perfectly windless day, so quiet that you could hear your heart beat. Johannes and his brother would like to have gotten warmed up after trudging through the snow, but initially there was no heat. Later the men got a portable propane heater working, but not before the crew from Heidelberg had already left.
