Easter Sunday in Niedern

Just before Easter our Forsythien (German name) came into full bloom. In the mean time the branches are interspersed with little green leaves. I didn't have a camera to take pictures while we colored them on Saturday, but here is a close-up of the basket of eggs before they were hidden by Donia. This special little egg was from Uncle Kirk, Tante Alex and their four kiddies. There was one for everyone filled with yummy sour jelly beans. What a treat! Donia was very creative in hiding all the goodies. Tante Höppi has joined us on Easter Sunday for many years. She always brings goodies for the kiddies which we hide along with the eggs, and she loves watching the kids hunt for everything.
