Spring Break at Camp Impact: April 6th-8th

I am not going to be able to finish uploading the pictures tonight of our very enjoyable days, nor will I explain them yet, but I hope to be back in the near future to finish up. Today the kids (Devon, Donia and Doreen) got home again. It is great to have them here again, though we are happy that the Lord gave them a wonderful time. Danielle's first question while Devon was hugging her at the airport was, "Where's my Daddy?" Well, I guess it didn't sink in until today, that he won't be home for another month. We trust the Lord will continue to bless him in his ministry in the States. Danielle ready to head out to Camp Impact after lunch on Monday. Derek had baked poppy seed bread to take along, and about an hour into the trip we stopped to get it out of the back. Our van load enjoyed a delicious treat. We were travelling with Kevin and Co, but when we stopped we never quite caught up with them again. So I drove on remembering from lots of time on the computer over recent months learning about Camp Impact and the area which cities were near-by. As I drove, Derek would recognize things (having been there for all the work weeks with Kevin), so that was helpful. We decided to take a little bathroom/treat stop, and ended up on an exit with a Burger King. The kids all enjoyed the playground and then a milk-shake-to-go. Right before we got there, we got a call from Kay wondering where we were. Kevin had been "looking" for us. He didn't have my number on his cell, and vice versa!:) Well, we didn't know who was ahead, but we ended up getting to camp about 5 minutes before they did. In their defense...they were pulling a trailer, and we could "fly along" between stops. :) The first responsibility was to unload, put the right number of beds in the rooms, and then make beds. Here we were doing just that. In my room were the boys, Danielle and I. Evan is visiting us from his room next door. :) Then it was off to explore...we brought various "vehicles" with wheels. Kevin included several bikes on his trailer. Dustin, Donovan, and Eddie (above) Danika and Helene (below) Danielle Watching Mr. Jim check into the plumbing. No running water or electricity hooked up yet. We took as many containers full of drinking water as we could, and also bottled water and some juice for drinking.
